Role Overview

The Service Leader is pivotal to ensuring excellent guest experiences by supervising a well-trained crew that prepares and serves safe, quality food. This position requires constant active presence on the floor, maintaining cleanliness and order, operating line equipment effectively, and proactively assisting in various tasks when duties permit.

Key Duties and Responsibilities

  • Adhering to Chipotle’s operational policies and procedures to uphold service standards.
  • Ensuring delicious and high-quality food is consistently served.
  • Addressing and resolving food quality concerns promptly.
  • Supporting food safety by monitoring hygiene practices like hand washing, glove use, food temperatures, shelf life, and completing daily safety checklists.
  • Managing customer issues to foster positive experiences.
  • Coordinating crew schedules, breaks, shift transitions, and meetings efficiently.
  • Cross-training front of house team members and assisting with their performance evaluations.
  • Mentoring and developing future Service Leaders within the team.
  • Handling administrative tasks including banking, cash management, maintaining office supplies and equipment.
  • Ensuring adequate stock and supplies are available as needed.

Candidate Requirements

  • Understanding and ability to communicate Chipotle’s Food With Integrity philosophy.
  • Experience and familiarity with cash handling protocols.
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and compliance requirements.
  • Comfortable managing office paperwork and related administrative duties.
  • Proficient in the primary language(s) used at the workplace for effective communication.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational background.
  • Prior restaurant experience is essential.
  • Available to work at least four days per week, including two weekend days (Friday, Saturday, or Sunday), with open availability to any shift within those days.
  • Minimum commitment of 32 work hours per week.

  • Tuition assistance up to $5,250 annually.
