About the Role
Gold Fields Australia is inviting applications for the position of Service Crew Operator within their Mining division at the Agnew Gold Mine located in Leinster, Western Australia. The successful candidate will report directly to the Supervisor of Underground Production. This position involves delivering high-quality and timely mining support underground, including managing air, water, ventilation, pump lines, tele-remote systems, and electrical setups. The goal is to support development and production efforts to safely and efficiently recover ore as per operational targets while adhering to environmental regulations.

The role follows an 8 days on/6 days off and 7 nights on/7 days off roster pattern and operates on a fly-in fly-out basis from Perth.
Responsibilities
- Conduct operational tasks linked with ventilation, power, water supply, ground support, and compressed air systems underground.
- Operate various tools and machines such as elevated work platforms, integrated tool carriers, light vehicles, and hydraulic mobile equipment.
- Contribute to operational efficiency by providing dependable and precise information to minimize equipment downtime.
- Perform preventative maintenance including scheduled inspections, servicing, troubleshooting, adjustments, and coordinating timely repairs of operating machinery.
- Comply with environmental protocols by managing, controlling, and reporting all environmental spillages, especially oil and hydraulic leaks, ensuring clean-up and communication.
Candidate Profile
- Prior experience in underground mining operations, specifically in service or paste crew roles.
- Familiarity with truck operation is considered beneficial.
- Possession of Dangerous Goods and Working at Heights certifications is mandatory.
- Valid manual driver's license required.
