Role Overview

The Senior Winning Work Consultant will be a vital contributor within Aurecon's locally based Winning Work New Zealand team. You will support the identification, shaping, and pursuit of significant business opportunities throughout Aotearoa New Zealand. This role involves close collaboration with Industry and Client Leaders, portfolio and bid teams, providing strategic guidance, facilitation, and hands-on support from opportunity engagement through to bid submission and post-bid analysis.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with industry directors and client leaders to grasp client needs, craft winning strategies, and elevate Aurecon's profile.
• Oversee efficient bid processes, ensuring deadlines are met and coordinating reviews and specialist contributions.
• Work alongside technical subject matter experts and bid teams to develop tailored, high-quality bid content that speaks directly to client and project requirements.
• Offer commercial insights by engaging in discussions, delivering practical advice, and framing commercial strategies within bid documentation.
• Assist in the creation of professional, on-brand client presentations and prepare technical teams for client engagements.
• Lead bid feedback sessions and lessons learnt workshops to analyze bid outcomes, recognize trends, and enhance future success.

Candidate Profile

• A minimum of three years experience in bid management, ideally within Aotearoa New Zealand across various sectors or markets.
• A positive, proactive mindset with eagerness to contribute broadly to the business.
• Proficient in managing bids and content effectively.
• Strong technical writing skills capable of transforming complex information into clear, client-centric narratives.
• Experienced facilitator adept at managing and synthesizing team inputs.
• Competence in digital collaboration tools for managing opportunities across the Australasian region.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building abilities at all organizational levels.
• Confidence in promoting best practices in bid development and offering constructive critiques to meet client expectations.

Preferred Qualifications and Experience

• Qualifications in communications, marketing, or related business fields.
• Certifications such as APMP Foundation or higher.
• Experience within professional consultancy settings.
