About the Role
The Senior Well Integrity Engineer will be responsible for ensuring all wells and associated activities comply with North Oil Company (NOC) policies, standards, and best industry practices across the full well lifecycle. This role is critical to maintaining well safety and operational integrity in alignment with health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards using the ALARP principle.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure all field operations adhere strictly to NOC's Well Integrity Management System and HSE policies, with particular attention to well barriers and API standards.
- Monitor, analyze, and propose solutions to maintain the integrity of over 550 wells across 21 wellhead platforms, including a variety of well types such as gas lifted oil producers, water injection, smart completions, and gas injection wells.
- Maintain and manage NOC’s fit-for-purpose well integrity model and related software used to track well integrity issues.
- Serve as the focal point for the Well Integrity Surveillance System (WISS), ensuring it aligns with the company's Well Failure Model and integrity standards.
- Perform daily surveillance to ensure wells operate within safe operating envelopes, monitor casing pressure trends, and oversee caliper inspections and databases.
- Collaborate closely with intervention teams, offshore field operations, and various departments such as Drilling, Subsurface, HSE, and Production to coordinate well integrity activities and investigations.
- Conduct risk assessments, analyze well integrity problems, recommend corrective actions, and lead operational risk assessments, ensuring proper documentation of failures.
- Provide onsite technical support for well integrity concerns and maintain dashboards and reports to leadership and QE.
- Monitor safety critical elements (SCE) reliability and manage failure notifications from offshore operations via SAP.
- Carry out well integrity calculations such as MAASP, tubing leak rates, burst/collapse assessments among others.
Work Environment
The position is primarily based at NOC's offices in Doha, Qatar, with occasional visits to the Al Shaheen field, logistics, or service provider bases.
