About the Role

We seek a seasoned Senior Video Content Editor skilled not just in video editing but also in editorial judgment, storytelling, and audience insight. The candidate will transform continuous footage from Bollywood-related events such as celebrity appearances, red carpets, movie promotions, and entertainment launches into polished, engaging digital videos that appeal to modern audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate and organize incoming footage from entertainment gatherings independently.
• Spot entertaining, newsworthy, and potentially viral moments without needing detailed editorial guidance.
• Create multiple high-quality short-form videos, event highlights, and recaps from long-form material.
• Produce vertical and mobile-first content tailored to social media platforms.
• Craft engaging opening sequences and edit videos for pacing and viewer retention.
• Enhance videos with captions, titles, subtitles, graphics, transitions, music, and additional creative elements.
• Perform color grading, audio improvements, video stabilization, and overall video optimization.
• Select attractive thumbnails and cover images for content.
• Maintain consistent editorial and visual quality across a large volume of videos.
• Prioritize and deliver time-sensitive content swiftly.
• Stay updated with trends in Bollywood, entertainment, celebrity culture, and social media.

Candidate Profile

• 3 to 6 years of professional video editing experience.
• Proficient with Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve.
• Experienced in creating Reels, Shorts, and other short-form mobile-first videos.
• Strong grasp of storytelling techniques, pacing, hooks, and strategies to keep audience engagement.
• Deep knowledge of Bollywood, Indian entertainment, and celebrity culture.
• Excellent editorial instincts for selecting impactful moments from raw footage.
• Good command over written English and Hindi, especially for crafting captions and titles.
• Familiarity with social media formats, trends, and contemporary editing styles.
• Ability to work autonomously and produce high-quality output under deadlines.
• Additional skills in After Effects, Photoshop, motion graphics, or thumbnail creation are advantageous.

Ideal Fit

• Someone who can quickly sift through 30–60 minutes of raw footage and isolate 3–5 truly publishable moments.
• A content creator mindset, skilled in storytelling and understanding what makes viewers stop scrolling and engage.
• Sharp instincts about where to start a video, what to cut, and how to enhance moments without excessive editing.

Preferred Experience

Background in digital media companies, entertainment publications, production houses, social media agencies, or celebrity/media agencies is highly desirable. Direct experience with Bollywood and event content is a strong plus.

Application Requirement

A portfolio or showreel displaying relevant work is mandatory. Examples should include short-form entertainment clips, Reels, celebrity/event coverage, Bollywood content, event highlights, vertical/mobile video formats, and evidence of rapid social media editing.
