Key Responsibilities

• Define and direct software development strategies and organizational engineering standards.
• Establish enterprise-wide software design principles and architectural roadmaps.
• Lead the organization's approach to secure software development policies and governance.

• Govern the adoption and risk management of AI-native software engineering practices within regulated markets, including AI-based workflows across design, building, testing, and operation phases.
• Use data-driven metrics to monitor and enhance engineering performance, including reliability, delivery speed, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with stakeholders from business, technology, risk management, and operations to translate organizational priorities into actionable engineering outcomes and budget allocations.

Candidate Profile

Core Requirements:

• Extensive leadership experience within software engineering or platform teams supporting large-scale, highly available enterprise environments.
• Proven ability to establish technical governance, engineering standards, and lead platform modernization initiatives focusing on reducing technical debt and improving engineering performance indicators.
• Expertise in distributed systems, cloud-native architectures, and platform engineering technologies such as Kubernetes, infrastructure as code, continuous integration/deployment pipelines, and observability tooling at enterprise scale.
• Strong decision-making skills balancing scalability, security, resilience, and speed in highly regulated and demanding industry settings.
• Excellent executive communication and leadership skills with a history of influencing investment, vendor relationships, and building sustainable high-performing teams, including succession and leadership development.
• A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, ICT, or related fields is required; postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
