Job description

About the Role

Join NVIDIA as a Senior Verification Engineer focused on validating the architecture and implementation of cutting-edge PCI Express controllers used in leading GPUs and SOCs. This role provides a platform for direct influence on revolutionary product domains, including consumer graphics, autonomous vehicles, and artificial intelligence. Engage with a global team dedicated to pushing computational boundaries and advancing visual and parallel computing technology.

NVIDIA, once known primarily for its graphics processing units fueling immersive games and cinematic effects, now pioneers AI computing using GPUs to simulate human cognition. These GPUs power deep learning solutions and autonomous systems, fundamentally transforming computing technology.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead verification efforts for ASIC designs, architectural specifications, golden models, and micro-architectures of PCIe controllers at IP and sub-system levels using advanced verification methods, including UVM.
  • Create reusable bus functional models, monitors, checkers, and scoreboards based on coverage-driven verification methodology to ensure validation completeness.
  • Analyze design specifications and implementations thoroughly, determine verification boundaries, produce comprehensive test plans, develop test cases and verification infrastructure, and confirm design correctness.
  • Collaborate closely with architecture, design, and both pre- and post-silicon verification teams to achieve validation goals.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
  • Minimum five years of relevant experience in verification.
  • Demonstrated expertise in unit, sub-system, and SOC level verification, with strong skills in Verilog and SystemVerilog.
  • Proven experience in thorough verification of IP or interconnect protocols such as PCI Express, USB, or SATA.
  • Proficiency in developing functional coverage-driven constrained random verification environments.
  • Familiarity with design verification methodologies, notably UVM and VMM, and proficiency with mainstream simulation and debugging tools.

Preferred Skills

  • Advanced understanding of PCIe protocol, specifically Generation 3 and above.
  • In-depth knowledge of the system architecture for PCI Express and CXL-based designs.
  • Competency in scripting/programming languages like Perl and Python.
  • Strong analytical abilities paired with excellent debugging skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a passion for collaborative teamwork.
