Role Overview

As a Senior Threat Intelligence Consultant based in Germany, you will play a pivotal role in NVISO's Threat Intelligence team, collaborating with colleagues from the DACH region and beyond. Your efforts will enable organizations to better comprehend their threat environment, foresee emerging risks, and mount effective responses to adversary actions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality threat intelligence across strategic, operational, and tactical levels.
• Create intelligence materials including threat landscapes, analyses of adversaries and campaigns, and sector-specific reports.
• Continuously monitor open, deep, and dark web sources for relevant threats, vulnerabilities, and emerging risks.
• Provide actionable intelligence to support incident response, contextualizing attacks and guiding mitigation efforts.
• Assist other NVISO teams such as Managed Detection & Response and Red Team by supplying pertinent intelligence to enhance detection, hunting, and adversary emulation.
• Contribute to intelligence-driven security evaluations like TIBER-EU and TLPT by collaborating on threat research, scenario creation, and reporting.
• Participate in capability-building projects including threat intelligence maturity assessments and operating model design.
• Attend client meetings and briefings, effectively communicating intelligence findings.
• Work closely with team members to maintain consistency, quality, and continuous improvement of threat intelligence outputs and processes.

Candidate Requirements

• Must possess citizenship of one of the 32 NATO countries or Austria.
• 2 to 5 years of professional experience, with 1 to 3 years specifically in cyber threat intelligence or a related cybersecurity discipline.
• Practical experience contributing to strategic, operational, or tactical threat intelligence projects.
• Familiarity with intelligence-led assessments such as TIBER-EU or TLPT is advantageous.
• Strong knowledge of threat actors, attacker techniques, intelligence frameworks like MITRE ATT&CK, and the intelligence cycle.
• Experience researching and monitoring open-source, deep web, and dark web data.
• Capability to work autonomously on assigned tasks and collaboratively on team projects.
• Excellent analytical thinking and strong report-writing skills to produce clear, structured intelligence documents.
• Effective interpersonal and communication skills for client engagement and teamwork.
• Up-to-date awareness of current cyber threats, attacker tactics, techniques, and procedures (TTPs).
• Fluency in German and English at the C1 level or above for client interactions across the DACH region.

Work Conditions

• Standard office hours with some flexibility required during active client projects and incident responses.
• Occasional travel (approximately 10%) within Germany, Austria, and Switzerland for on-site meetings, workshops, and events.
