Role Overview

The Senior Terminal Planner will be a vital member of the Programme Management Consultancy (PMC) team engaged on a significant aviation project in Jeddah. The position emphasizes planning, analyzing, and coordinating the design of airport terminal facilities to ensure optimal passenger experience, high operational efficiency, and strict adherence to international aviation regulations. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams will be essential to devise integrated, innovative, and forward-looking terminal solutions.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all aspects of terminal planning, covering spatial layouts, functional zone development, and optimizing passenger movement.
• Perform capacity analyses, demand forecasting, and operational assessments to guide planning and design decisions.
• Formulate terminal concepts and reports that fulfill client goals and align with international industry benchmarks.
• Collaborate closely with architecture, engineering, MEP, ICT, and baggage handling specialists to produce unified terminal design outcomes.
• Critically review and verify design outputs to ensure compliance with project goals and operational requirements.
• Facilitate stakeholder communication by presenting planning insights and recommendations to project teams and clients.

Qualifications and Experience

• Possess a Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Architecture, Aviation Planning, Transportation Planning, or equivalent disciplines.
• Have at least 12 years of proven experience in airport terminal planning, preferably engaged in major aviation or infrastructure projects.
• Demonstrate a strong grasp of airport terminal operations, including IATA Level of Service (LoS) standards and capacity planning approaches.
• Experience with terminal simulation software tools such as CAST, AnyLogic, or Simio is highly valued.
• Prior exposure to PMC or consultancy environments is advantageous.

Knowledge and Skills

• Thorough knowledge of ICAO, IATA, and GACA aviation standards and regulations.
• Strong analytical ability coupled with expertise in spatial planning and solving complex problems.
• Exceptional communication and presentation skills, capable of coordinating multidisciplinary teams effectively.
• Proficient with design and planning software including AutoCAD, Revit, and the Microsoft Office suite.
