Senior Technical Program Manager

About the Role

The HR Technology team is seeking a seasoned Senior Technical Program Manager to lead and streamline the delivery of technological solutions that meet the needs of various stakeholders. This role is integral to accelerating IT's business impact and transforming technology and AI collaboration.

As the Senior TPM, you will be accountable for the execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives. You will collaborate with teams across Human Resources, Legal, Finance, and others to align with the overarching product vision and business goals, addressing technical challenges and providing data-informed insights to guide strategic choices.

Key Duties

• Enhance and manage the tools and processes used by HR Technology delivery teams in their daily workflows.
• Coordinate sequencing and prioritization between product development teams and internal stakeholders to maintain the team's backlog and plan release schedules.
• Detect and mitigate delivery risks proactively.
• Manage data concerning project and ticket backlog health for each team.
• Apply hands-on management when required for projects or teams and implement scalable process frameworks as appropriate.
• Encourage a culture of continuous improvement by leading retrospectives and identifying growth opportunities within and across teams.
• Interpret complex information patterns and take decisive actions.
• Pursue expanding technical expertise to effectively oversee the complexities, dependencies, and risks in HR technology projects.

Candidate Profile

• Minimum of 7 years experience in program management offices or engineering organizations, encompassing delivery, support, or analytics roles.
• Experienced in leading end-to-end HR-related technical programs and collaborating with engineering teams using diverse program management and agile methods.
• Exhibits deep user empathy, balancing product objectives with engineering limitations to deliver meaningful experiences.
• Well-versed in HR technology portfolio technologies and skilled in discerning technical interfaces between teams.
• Knowledgeable about HR processes such as Talent Management, Learning and Development, Core HCM, Benefits, and Compensation.
• Able to oversee engineering processes strategically while optimizing daily team operations.
• Driven to innovate through automation to replace manual tasks; familiarity and programming skills with JIRA, Smartsheet, and GSuite preferred.
• Exceptional communicator across diverse engineering and stakeholder groups.
• Highly organized, capable of managing extensive data related to technical programs and task tracking.
• Experienced with agile methodologies and implementing program management best practices.
• Focused on prioritizing work and acting with urgency to deliver features aligned with business goals.
• Trained in project-tracking tools like JIRA, Smartsheet, and GSuite.
• Eager to gain comprehensive knowledge about MongoDB.
