Role Overview

The Mobile Core Tribe at Scalable Capital is transitioning to domain-oriented, cross-functional teams. As the Product Manager for Mobile Core, you will be tasked with defining the product vision and roadmap for shared mobile foundations that support a unified, reliable iOS and Android application. Collaborating closely with Engineering Managers, QA specialists, and platform engineers, your primary stakeholders are the product and engineering teams integrating within the mobile apps.

Key Responsibilities

• Set and communicate the vision, strategy, roadmap, and measurable goals for the Mobile Core domain.
• Lead the product direction for shared features such as navigation, app shell, and common containers, while establishing transparent processes for integration, prioritization, adoption, and migration for domain teams.
• Focus on product outcomes including reliability, performance, accessibility, and observability, working alongside engineering and QA teams to balance technical trade-offs and manage live app stability.
• Oversee product coordination for iOS and Android releases, managing dependencies effectively to avoid becoming a bottleneck.
• Collaborate with owners of shared capabilities like deep links, push notifications, remote configurations, and authentication to influence their development.
• Contribute to app-wide standards related to user experience, analytics, and product discipline.
• Analyze post-release outcomes such as reuse, upgrade time, release predictability, and app health to inform continuous improvement of the roadmap.

Candidate Profile

• University degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or substantial equivalent technical experience.
• Proven product management expertise handling native iOS and Android applications, demonstrating strong product judgment across both platforms.
• Experience in finance-related domains such as FinTech, banking, brokerage, or mobile platform/core-experience products is highly advantageous.
• Deep technical understanding to engage effectively with mobile engineers on architecture, platform limitations, reliability, and release considerations.
• Demonstrated success managing cross-team releases, dependencies, and shared product functions including adoption and migration processes.
• Hands-on knowledge of app store procedures, staged rollouts, feature toggling, remote configuration, analytics, and mobile monitoring tools.
• Strong influence and communication skills in English, with an ability to align senior stakeholders and clarify priorities and trade-offs.
• Experience building Server-Driven UI frameworks for native iOS and Android is a significant plus.
• Analytical approach combining technical and product insight, with proactive ownership from concept through deployment.
• Professional fluency in English is essential; German language skills are optional.
