Role Overview

• Collaborate intimately with Product and Engineering teams to take full ownership of design tasks from initial problem definition through final implementation and iterative refinements.
• Leverage both qualitative and quantitative data to deeply understand user needs, validate assumptions, and enhance customer experience as well as business impact.
• Design intuitive, accessible, and engaging user interfaces, including detailed workflows, interactive prototypes, and nuanced interaction elements.
• Continuously develop and refine the design system to ensure a uniform and coherent user experience across all products and platforms.
• Work closely with engineering teams to provide clear design specifications, offer ongoing guidance during development, and assess the final product against high-quality standards.
• Integrate AI thoughtfully within the design process, understanding its value and appropriate application.
• Effectively manage workload, communicate progress proactively, and coordinate schedules and priorities in partnership with stakeholders.

Required Qualifications

• Portfolio showcasing exceptional visual design ability, product-centric thinking, teamwork, distinct personal contribution, and measurable outcomes.
• Proven expertise in designing native mobile apps and responsive web platforms, understanding platform-specific norms and technical limitations.
• Hands-on knowledge with discovery methodologies, user research, usability testing, and skill in transforming ambiguous challenges into well-defined design solutions.
• Advanced proficiency with Figma, including creating components, using variables, interactive prototyping, and managing design system workflows; familiarity with motion design or micro-interactions is advantageous.
• Fluency in English is essential; proficiency in German is beneficial.
• Experience within fintech, regulated sectors, or trust-centric product domains is considered a plus.
