Job description

About Packmatic

Packmatic is pioneering the digital transformation of one of Europe's largest and most regulated sectors — the packaging industry, which represents a market worth several hundred billion euros. New regulations such as PPWR, EUDR, EPR, and CSRD are intensifying the need for innovation and compliance in this space. Our flagship solution is Packa, the first end-to-end SaaS platform for intelligent packaging management, which is rapidly growing, highly funded, and in strong demand.

What You Can Expect

  • Creative freedom working directly with Packa's leadership team to shape product direction from the outset.
  • Ownership and accountability as a valued member of a highly motivated, diverse, and high-performing team.
  • Hybrid working environment based in our vibrant Berlin-Prenzlauer Berg office.
  • Opportunity to contribute within a visionary company led by an experienced founding team and supported by leading investors.
  • A culture valuing fair compensation and providing well-defined growth opportunities for professional development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the roadmap and strategic planning for our Integrations & Data domain, from long-term vision to quarterly objectives and key results (OKRs).
  • Design and optimize the integration ecosystem, covering data flows between Packa and customer systems such as ERPs and PIMs, including multitenancy and role-based access controls.
  • Translate customer integration requirements into precise product specifications, user stories, and acceptance criteria, aligning architectural decisions with engineering leads.
  • Manage internal data infrastructure, including data warehouse design, ingestion pipelines, data contracts between product and analytics teams, and ensuring data freshness and quality service level objectives (SLOs).
  • Participate in integration scoping calls with client IT and procurement teams, supporting sales and onboarding by assessing feasibility and challenging unscalable requirements.
  • Define and monitor KPIs related to integration success, such as time-to-go-live, error rates, connector adoption, data quality, and partner satisfaction.
  • Drive the developer and partner experience by overseeing API design principles, versioning strategy, public documentation, and sandbox environments.
  • Collaborate closely with Customer Success on integration workflows including scoping templates, handover playbooks, monitoring post-launch, and managing escalation paths.
  • Coordinate with Regulatory and Workflows Product Managers to align on shared data requirements, such as material and recyclability data for PPWR flows and workflow automation handoffs.

Qualifications and Experience

  • 3 to 5 years of professional experience in product management, including at least 2 years with end-to-end ownership of integration, API, or data products.
  • Proven track record of successfully delivering customer-facing integrations through full lifecycle implementation.
  • Strong technical proficiency, including fluent reading of API documentation, SQL programming skills, understanding of data modeling, and capability to critically evaluate engineering solutions.
  • Familiarity with B2B enterprise integration patterns such as authentication, data synchronization models, batch versus event-driven flows.
  • Solid understanding of modern data stack technologies (specific tools to be determined collaboratively).
  • Fluent communication skills in both German and English, written and spoken.

Desirable Skills (Bonus)

  • Direct experience with ERP ecosystems like SAP S/4 HANA, Microsoft Dynamics 365, NetSuite including partner programs and certified connectors.
  • Background in computer science, former developer, or advanced coding hobbyist.
  • Exposure to AI and automation in workflows, including LLM agents, document parsing, and automated order/quote processing.
  • Experience working in regulated B2B domains or with regulatory background.
