Senior Technical CAD Drafter

Job Overview

Studio Échelle is seeking an experienced Senior Interior Fit-Out CAD Drafter for a full-time on-site position in Doha, Qatar. This role involves creating comprehensive technical drawing packages specifically for interior design projects. It focuses strictly on drafting tasks rather than conceptual design, architecture, 3D visualization, or project management.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce full tender and construction drawing packages
• Create detailed plans, elevations, section views, and construction details
• Develop detailed drawings for joinery, millwork, ceilings, flooring, walls, and bathrooms
• Design layouts for lighting, power, plumbing, and sanitary systems
• Coordinate drafts with architectural and MEP inputs to ensure consistency
• Prepare bills of quantities (BOQs), perform quantity take-offs, and compile schedules and specifications
• Review shop drawings and address technical requests for information (RFIs)
• Guarantee that drawing packages are thorough, coordinated, and suitable for construction

Candidate Requirements

• Currently residing in Qatar
• A minimum of six years’ experience in interior fit-out drafting
• Proficient in advanced AutoCAD techniques
• Strong background in delivering complete technical drawing sets for interiors
• Expertise in joinery and construction detailing is essential
• Good knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) coordination
• Experience working on interiors within high-end residential, hospitality, food & beverage, or commercial sectors
• Fluency in English required; proficiency in Filipino/Tagalog is advantageous
