Opportunity Overview
We are currently seeking an experienced Senior Surveyor to join our team in Wellington. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing surveying operations aligned with contract programs and technical specifications on various projects. Your leadership will be critical in guiding and mentoring junior surveyors, upholding Downer's core values and surveying best practices across the region, ensuring the highest quality standards in all survey tasks.
Key Skills and Experience
- Extensive expertise in New Zealand surveying disciplines, predominantly focusing on engineering and construction surveying within major infrastructure developments.
- Proficient use of civil engineering software such as Civil3D, 12D, and Trimble Business Centre.
- Practical experience with modern surveying instrumentation, including Leica or Trimble Total Stations and GNSS technology.
- Demonstrated capability in leading field survey teams toward achieving project goals effectively.
- Ability to travel and work on projects outside your primary location as needed.
- Qualifications including a Diploma or Bachelor of Surveying or an equivalent surveying-related qualification.
