Senior Support Worker

About the Role

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a committed Senior Support Worker to join a reputable healthcare provider at their soon-to-open nursing and residential care home located in Weymouth, Dorset. This care home is situated in a picturesque seaside town on England's south coast.

Key Responsibilities

• Identify and meet the daily needs of residents effectively.
• Conduct formal supervisions and performance appraisals.
• Contribute to care planning and provide coaching to support workers.
• Promote the care services professionally when interacting with relatives, prospective residents, and enquiries.
• Participate in updating and maintaining care plans and resident documentation.
• Conduct accurate assessments of residents to ensure consistent continuity of care.
• Administer medication following the established policies and procedures.

• Demonstrated experience working within a care environment.
• Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
• Effective verbal and written communication capabilities.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold an NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care or an equivalent qualification to be considered.
