About PTL | Structural & Fire
PTL is a team of expert structural and fire engineers dedicated to designing and constructing a diverse array of buildings and bridges. With over five decades of combined experience, PTL employs innovative and cost-effective structural methods, collaborating closely with developers, architects, and construction firms to ensure top-quality, feasible results. The company is recognized globally for its expertise in mass timber design, with significant contributions to the Pres-Lam structural system and large engineered timber buildings over the last 15 years.
Role Overview
We are seeking a senior structural engineer based in Auckland as the initial local representative supporting projects while collaborating with our Christchurch and Queenstown offices. This role involves growing PTL's footprint in Auckland, including mentoring and leading a local team of structural and fire engineers.
Key Responsibilities and Requirements
- Hold an internationally recognised tertiary qualification in structural engineering.
- Possess minimum five years of experience working in New Zealand.
- Be chartered as a structural engineer or progressing towards chartership.
- Demonstrated success leading design and construction project monitoring.
- A passion for continual learning and knowledge exchange.
- Strong interpersonal skills focused on relationship building.
- Motivation to lead, grow others, and oversee the delivery of exceptional client outcomes.
