About the Role
Join Infineon's Research & Development team as a Product Engineer and be part of creating innovative technology solutions that impact lives globally. This role offers an exciting opportunity to combine creativity with technical skills, leading projects that define the future of semiconductors.
Key Responsibilities
- Take full responsibility for characterization (Char) deliverables throughout all stages from design to production, including post-silicon debugging and product characterization.
- Collaborate closely with Design and Test engineers to align ATE test results with simulation outputs, ensuring accurate correlation.
- Create and maintain Automated Test Equipment (ATE) programs tailored to characterization needs, liaising with Test, Design, and Foundry engineers across multiple sites.
- Lead efforts to improve productivity targets such as yield, test coverage, and test duration.
- Manage data analysis activities related to characterization, qualification, and early production phases, enhancing capability by merging data sources and automating processes.
- Oversee execution processes at testing and assembly facilities, including subcontractors, serving as the technical lead for product engineering tasks.
- Facilitate manufacturability and ramp-up of Silicon Microphone products by performing yield, failure pattern, and test coverage analyses, conducting root-cause investigations on deviations (quality, performance, cost), and expediting test yield improvements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Degree in Electrical or Electronic Engineering (Bachelor’s or Master’s).
- At least 3 to 5 years of experience in product engineering involving digital, mixed-signal, or RF/SoC semiconductor devices, with strong preference for RF expertise.
- In-depth knowledge of IC production processes including fabrication, assembly, and testing workflows.
- Practical experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE), especially with UFLEX or Verigy 93K platforms considered a significant plus.
- Proficiency in statistical methods and utilization of data analysis tools.
- Strong communication and leadership capabilities to effectively mentor teams and drive project success.
- A proactive and innovative mindset that embraces continual improvement, with dedication to delivering faster and more efficient solutions coupled with transparent leadership.
