Senior Staff Characterization Engineer

Key Responsibilities

• Develop integrated circuit (IC) characterization strategies covering both automated test equipment (ATE) and bench-level environments as suitable.
• Create methodologies for accelerated lifetime testing, skew-lot specification, and temperature-based testing.
• Prepare detailed documentation outlining the silicon characterization plan.
• Participate in and contribute to the design of specialized hardware supporting IC characterization activities.
• Automate characterization tasks in lab and ATE settings to ensure robust, reproducible, and high-quality data collection and analysis.
• Maintain structured tracking and reporting of issues encountered during testing.
• Collaborate extensively with design and test teams for precise circuit analysis and root cause investigation of anomalous results.
• Characterize AC timing of customer-specific communication interfaces.
• Develop procedures to uphold rigorous data discipline, reinforcing hardware platform robustness and consistency of bench-level test results.
• Plan, track, and communicate project progress relative to major milestones.
• Foster a collaborative, communicative, and engaging work environment that encourages continuous learning and team enjoyment.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Electronic Engineering or a related discipline; postgraduate qualifications desirable.
• Over 10 years of pertinent engineering experience.
• At least 5 years of experience managing teams.
• Strong expertise in User Experience (UX), Product Design, and Product Management.
• Proven background in complete product characterization and ATE test flow development.
• Knowledge and experience in power conversion technologies.
• Familiarity with embedded systems development and testing.
• Demonstrated capability to work effectively in varied roles and flexible environments.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to liaise across multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to mentor and support junior staff members effectively.
