Role Overview
Join Vishay Intertechnology in Cork, Ireland as a Senior Staff Analog IC Design Engineer, contributing to the development of integrated circuits pivotal to modern power systems. This role encompasses the entire product lifecycle from conceptualization to silicon support, offering significant impact and career growth within a leading power semiconductor company.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and design analog and mixed-signal sub-systems from concept through to post-layout assessment.
- Simulate, test, and validate design blocks at block, system, and chip levels to ensure design integrity.
- Create and maintain detailed engineering documentation and test procedures aligned with quality standards.
- Lead and participate in design reviews, ensuring compliance with Vishay specifications and driving design enhancements.
- Collaborate with test engineering, product engineering, and operations teams including involvement in ATE data evaluations, limit reviews, and yield analyses.
- Develop low power ASIC designs incorporating design-for-testability principles.
- Contribute to product and technology roadmap planning and execution.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineering staff and support cross-functional team initiatives.
Qualifications and Experience
- At least 7 years of experience designing analog circuits within ASIC/SOC contexts.
- Advanced degree (PhD or postgraduate) or equivalent qualification in Electronic Engineering or a related field.
- Proven knowledge and experience in power conversion technologies.
- Proficiency in Cadence analog design tools suite.
- Comprehensive understanding of analog/mixed-signal IC development cycles including design, simulation, and validation.
- Hands-on experience with analog and mixed-signal circuits such as ADC, DAC, reference/biasing circuits, regulators (DC-DC & LDO), oscillators, PLLs, sensors, and drivers.
- Familiarity with CMOS, BiCMOS, and BCD process technologies.
- Experience in sub-system and chip-level verification methods, including AMS verification.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a self-driven approach to individual contribution.
- Adaptable to diverse roles and environments with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Capability to engage in cross-functional teamwork and mentor less experienced colleagues.
