Role Overview
As Senior Sous Chef, reporting directly to the Head Chef and Director of Culinary, you will play an essential role in managing kitchen operations and fostering a collaborative team culture. This position requires proactive leadership with hands-on involvement in daily food preparation and presentation.
- Ensuring cooking stations are adequately stocked
- Coaching, mentoring, and supporting junior kitchen staff
- Streamlining the cooking process to balance speed with quality
- Supervising dish preparation and plating for consistency and excellence
- Upholding stringent hygiene and safety protocols
- Contributing creatively to menu design and food presentation
Candidate Profile
- Minimum of two years' experience in high-end restaurants or luxury hotels
- Mastery of advanced cooking techniques with a focus on precision
- Commitment to sourcing and utilizing local ingredients
- Strong understanding of health, safety, and hygiene regulations
- Ability to adapt quickly to frequent guest requests and menu adjustments
- Efficient time management, strong communication, and multitasking skills
- Team-oriented with leadership capabilities to inspire and motivate kitchen staff
- Hands-on approach to culinary operations, ensuring memorable guest experiences

This full-time role involves working 45 hours across five days weekly. Extra hours on additional days can be accrued as 'owed time' following company policy.
