Role Overview
The Senior Solutions Engineer will join the pre-sales team based in Sydney, NSW, and play a crucial role in acquiring new clients by collaborating closely with Account Executives and sales leadership. This role involves demonstrating Tines' SaaS platform capabilities and educating prospects on how the platform delivers business value through automation, without requiring coding or extensive integrations.
Key Responsibilities
- Gain comprehensive expertise in the Tines Intelligent Workflow Platform and apply this knowledge to address customers’ security and IT operational challenges.
- Craft and present persuasive demonstrations and presentations that highlight Tines’ unique value propositions and competitive advantages to potential customers and alliance partners.
- Build and showcase tailored Tines Stories to illustrate platform value and support sales efforts.
- Manage technical decision-making processes with customers by setting clear expectations during proofs of concept and evaluations.
- Collaborate with sales teams to identify critical use cases that align with competitive strategies and resolve customer challenges.
- Support enablement activities for Tines’ priority channel and technical alliance partners, assisting their pre-sales engineers in customer engagements.
- Provide valuable market feedback to product management and contribute to refining the product roadmap.
- Enhance the knowledge base by documenting customer experiences, competitive intelligence, and new automation stories derived from client and partner interactions.
- Assist the Solutions Engineering team in tracking performance metrics and establishing operational best practices across all SE teams.
Senior-Level Duties
- Guide the strategic direction of sales engineering in the ANZ region, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
- Serve as a senior voice within the SE team to influence regional sales engineering strategies and business objectives.
- Mentor and coach fellow sales engineers to promote professional development and skill enhancement.
- Represent Tines at industry events, conferences, and webinars, reinforcing the company’s status as an automation thought leader.
- Lead design and implementation of complex automation projects for key clients, ensuring successful system deployment and integration.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product management, marketing, and engineering to influence product development based on insights from market and customer feedback.
- Advocate for key customers by ensuring their requirements are addressed and their feedback informs product improvements.
Candidate Profile
- Over 8 years of experience in pre-sales, sales engineering, or technical delivery roles within SaaS companies.
- Robust technical expertise including API familiarity and eagerness to adopt new cloud technologies.
- Background in security and/or IT sectors.
- Proven ability to identify client needs and deliver compelling technical demonstrations that secure business.
- Experience communicating effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
- Enthusiasm for continuous learning, openness to feedback, and a passion for client success.
- Strong project management capabilities to deliver tailored customer solutions.
- Analytical skills to generate actionable insights from complex data sets.
- Adaptability and a startup mindset to thrive in fast-paced environments.
- Willingness to travel up to 30%-40% as needed.
