Role Overview
The Senior Solution Specialist will play a pivotal role in our Information Management and Productivity Solutions team. Collaborating closely with clients, you will design, build, and support comprehensive Microsoft 365 solutions that enhance collaboration, information management, and productivity. Furthermore, you will guide clients in unlocking the potential of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI technologies by identifying valuable use cases, ensuring secure adoption, and creating custom agents to streamline workflows and improve efficiency.
Your responsibilities include delivering exceptional consulting experiences through a co-design approach, advising clients on best practices, and leading projects with transparency and inclusiveness in a dynamic setting. While our offices are throughout New Zealand, we support flexible working arrangements that balance in-person collaboration with remote work.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide consultancy services that guide organizations in problem-solving and decision-making through co-design and expert advice.
- Develop and deliver engaging customer presentations, product demos, and interactive workshops.
- Gather and analyze business needs to create thorough documentation such as solution designs, recommendations, and system as-built reports.
- Offer technical leadership for Microsoft 365 environments, focusing on information management and development of Power Apps and Power Automate solutions.
- Design, implement, and deploy solutions across Microsoft 365 platforms including SharePoint Online, Teams, Power Automate, and Power Apps.
- Lead migration initiatives, transitioning data from legacy systems into Microsoft 365 services.
- Advise on secure, productive use of Microsoft 365 Copilot and AI technologies, including identifying opportunities for business improvements.
- Evaluate and enhance client readiness for Microsoft 365 Copilot by improving architecture, content, permission settings, and governance.
- Create, test, and deploy tailored agents with Microsoft Copilot Studio that integrate business information and workflows.
- Host workshops and training to build customer proficiency in AI tools and adoption.
- Advise on best document control and records management practices to ensure compliance and data integrity.
- Develop training materials and coach clients to enhance their use of Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Provide effort estimates for proposals and assist in pre-sales activities.
- Follow leading methodologies and ITIL processes like change and release management.
- Support governance and ongoing administration of clients’ Microsoft 365 and Power Platform solutions.
Essential Qualifications and Experience
- Proven consultancy background within ICT professional services.
- Comprehensive expertise in designing and deploying Microsoft 365 solutions with Power Apps and Power Automate.
- Experience migrating content to Microsoft 365 from legacy platforms.
- Strong facilitation skills and ability to conduct effective customer workshops.
- Excellent communication skills including technical writing and presentations.
- Capability to translate complex business challenges into actionable Microsoft 365 solutions.
- Experience designing enterprise-scale information architectures.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Proficient in developing Power Automate workflows and Power Apps.
- Deep knowledge of core Microsoft 365 collaboration tools such as SharePoint Online, Microsoft Teams, and OneDrive.
- Experience using Microsoft Purview for information management, protection, and governance.
- Advising customers on Microsoft 365 Copilot adoption, readiness assessment, and use case identification.
- Practical experience building custom AI agents with Microsoft Copilot Studio.
- A solid grasp of information security and governance concerns related to AI technologies.
- PowerShell scripting proficiency to support automation and administration tasks.
- Strong understanding of information management principles.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with custom development using SharePoint Framework (SPFx), JavaScript, C#, and HTML/CSS.
- Capability to develop custom integrations between Microsoft 365 and business systems.
- Familiarity with AvePoint tools such as Opus, Backup, Cloud Governance, Policies and Insights, and Fly.
- Experience using ShareGate for migration and administrative purposes.
- Ability to integrate Copilot Studio agents with Power Automate, connectors, and business systems.
- Experience applying Microsoft Purview functionalities to support Copilot governance and protection.
- Skills in testing and refining AI agent performance through structured methodologies and user feedback.
