Role Summary
This role supports the upcoming early adopter release of Workday Payroll in New Zealand. The position focuses on helping organizations adopt efficient, connected payroll experiences that simplify procedures, minimize manual tasks, enhance payroll insights, and assist payroll teams in adapting to evolving requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver technical product presentations, demos, workshops, and seminars tailored to client needs.
- Design detailed implementation specifications for complex products and solutions.
- Assist in closing sales opportunities by addressing questions about solutions, services, and training.
- Support qualification of prospects, define demonstration objectives, build proof of concept systems, and assist with sales cycle closure.
- Align with sales, marketing, technical, and channel goals to maximize impact.
- Assist sales teams in responding to Requests for Proposals (RFxs).
- Participate in discovery sessions to understand client challenges, current processes, and desired future states.
- Apply deep ERP product knowledge to provide expertise during sales presentations and demos.
- Travel as needed, approximately 50% or more of the time.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is a confident and engaging presenter, skilled in influencing C-level HR leadership. You possess thorough subject matter expertise in payroll and workforce management and preferably have knowledge of HCM enterprise solutions. Passion for Workday solutions and belief in their business value is important.
Mandatory Qualifications
- Over 5 years of experience in Presales, Services Consulting, or technical roles.
- At least 3 years of experience working with HCM systems or processes.
- Strong familiarity with HR functional areas including Core HCM, Time & Attendance, Rostering, Compensation, Payroll, and Employee Engagement.
Additional Desired Qualifications
- Experience with SaaS HR solutions such as Workday, Oracle, or SAP is beneficial.
- Understanding of Generative and Agentic AI in HR and skill in presenting AI-based solutions to business and technical stakeholders.
- Focus on articulating the value and benefits of AI-driven technologies.
- Ability to manage multiple projects both independently and collaboratively.
- Excellent discovery, presentation, communication, and influencing skills tailored to senior leadership and C-level executives.
- Over 5 years' experience in solution consulting, sales consulting, or implementation roles.
- Ability to thrive in fast-paced, dynamic work environments.
