Job Role & Responsibilities

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing, architecting, and expanding the Base360.ai platform which supports all facets of short-term rental management. Your work will include developing customer-facing products, automation workflows, AI-enabled operations, integrations, and infrastructure to aid property managers in expanding their operations efficiently.

• Design and implement scalable services, APIs, and applications for reservation systems, availability management, pricing, payments, guest experience, and property operations.
• Create event-driven automation workflows to reduce repetitive tasks such as cleaning scheduling, check-in communication, and owner statement generation.
• Integrate AI systems utilizing large language models and AI agents to automate tasks like guest communication, maintenance request management, and pricing decisions.
• Develop API-first architectures to connect internal platforms, booking channels, third parties, and external customer systems.
• Establish and maintain integrations with platforms including Airbnb, Hostaway, Stripe, Twilio, OpenAI, Google, among others.
• Manage and deploy cloud-native infrastructure focused on reliability, scalability, and global expansion.
• Address complex operational challenges including real-time reservation synchronization, smart lock management, automated guest messaging, operational forecasting, cleaning and maintenance automation, owner reporting, and AI-powered monitoring and alerts.
• Take full ownership of projects from problem definition through architecture, implementation, deployment, and continuous improvement.
• Provide senior-level engineering judgment through code reviews and technical decision-making to ensure system reliability and maintainability.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• Demonstrated success building and maintaining production-quality software systems.
• Experience with FastAPI, Python, React, TypeScript, or similar modern frameworks.
• Strong knowledge of APIs, cloud infrastructure, distributed system design, and scalable backend data models.
• Capability to independently analyze problems and make informed technical decisions.
• Strong problem-solving aptitude and a product-oriented mindset.
• Interest and curiosity in AI, automation, and operational efficiencies.
• Proactive approach with focus on delivering value and learning from real user feedback.
• Ability to balance rapid development cycles with system reliability and sustainability.

Preferred Experience

• Previous work in short-term rentals, property management systems, or hospitality technology.
• Experience developing multi-tenant SaaS platforms and marketplace/booking channel integrations.
• Familiarity with AI agents, event-driven architectures, serverless AWS infrastructure, and Supabase.
