Job description
Role Overview
We seek a passionate Senior Software Engineer with expertise in full-stack development, eager to contribute to the dynamic and rapidly evolving FinTech space. Based in Singapore, this position involves collaborating with diverse teams on multiple projects and cutting-edge technologies, reporting directly to the Software Engineering Lead.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop highly available services primarily exposed via APIs, including both client-side and server-side applications.
- Engage in designing, building, and deploying new products for both internal teams and external users.
- Produce software that is secure, scalable, maintainable, well-tested, and thoroughly documented.
- Champion agile practices such as code reviews, sprint planning, pair programming, and daily stand-ups to ensure efficient workflows.
- Evaluate and adopt new technologies and initiatives proactively to improve the platform.
Candidate Profile and Requirements
- Educational background preferably in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or closely related fields.
- A highly motivated and curious engineer with a strong desire for continuous learning.
- Proficiency in Golang is mandatory; knowledge of Perl and Python is advantageous.
- Experience in front-end development technologies such as HTML/CSS and JavaScript.
- Familiarity with VueJS or equivalent JavaScript frameworks.
- Competency working with relational databases.
- Strong commitment to Agile methodologies and related practices including Test-Driven Development (TDD), Continuous Integration (CI), and Continuous Deployment (CD).
- Hands-on experience designing and developing web and API solutions in a Full Stack role or comparable position.
- Genuine interest in the innovations within the FinTech domain.
Technical Environment
The core technology stack includes Golang, Python, Perl (Mojolicious), PostgreSQL, Vue.js, Docker, and Nginx, hosted on Amazon Web Services (AWS). Engineers are encouraged to architect and implement their solutions independently.
