This opportunity is offered on behalf of a partner organization seeking a Senior Software Engineer specializing in quality, remotely based in Saudi Arabia. The role centers on pioneering quality engineering innovations through AI-enhanced testing and smart automation.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain AI-powered agents that facilitate the entire testing process including test design, generation, maintenance, execution, and failure analysis.
• Manage the essential infrastructure to ensure dependable agent-driven testing, covering test environments, data handling, tooling interfaces, safety guardrails, runtime oversight, and cost control.
• Create robust methods for assessing the quality of AI agent outputs, enabling engineering teams to rely on automated test results with minimal manual intervention.
• Implement AI-based evaluation techniques to test the platform’s own non-deterministic and AI-influenced functionalities.
• Collaborate with product engineering teams closely to keep testing tools aligned with evolving product features, ensuring their effectiveness and relevance.
• Produce reusable testing methodologies, tooling, and practices that empower engineers to take independent responsibility for quality.
• Promote adoption of advanced quality engineering tools and practices across multiple teams beyond direct reports.
• Participate in technical decision-making, system architecture design, and the ongoing enhancement of testing infrastructure and engineering workflows.

Candidate Requirements

• Minimum five years of professional experience delivering production-grade software solutions.
• Proven background in building and managing test infrastructure, internal development tools, developer platforms, or related systems utilized by engineering teams.
• Practical knowledge working with large language models (LLMs) or agent frameworks, including prompt engineering, tool integration, handling non-deterministic AI behaviors, and evaluating AI-generated outputs.
• Strong expertise in distributed systems and large-scale continuous integration, with proficiency in managing concurrency, system state, timing, and ensuring system reliability.
• Demonstrated ability to influence and gain adoption of tools or best practices across multiple engineering teams without formal authority.
• Capability and readiness to thoroughly understand the product to devise effective quality assurance strategies.
• Excellent engineering judgment balancing quality, maintainability, rapid delivery, and pragmatic business considerations.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills suited for distributed, cross-functional team environments.
• Bonus qualifications include experience with LLM evaluation or benchmarking, open-source contributions, and expertise in developer tooling or platform engineering.
• Familiarity with Java, TypeScript, Python, Kubernetes, and Helm considered advantageous.
