Role Overview

As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Java, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality software products that satisfy all functional and non-functional requirements. Your focus will be on developing scalable, user-friendly Java applications adhering to top coding standards, supported by thorough documentation and robust continuous integration and deployment practices.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce scalable and intuitive Java applications that meet all specified requirements.
• Maintain comprehensive and clear documentation throughout the development process.
• Adhere strictly to best practices, coding standards, and procedures including CI/CD pipelines.

Candidate Profile

• Possess over 5 years of professional experience in Java backend development.
• Have prior involvement in software development projects and understand various delivery methodologies.
• Demonstrate strong expertise in Object-Oriented Programming concepts with Java.
• Have experience working with the Spring Framework.
• Be knowledgeable about database persistence using JDBC and hold a deep understanding of relational database concepts.
• Be proficient with web services, specifically SOAP and REST, and skilled in microservices architecture and unit testing.
• Strong comprehension of software design patterns and architecture, including ability to interpret architectural diagrams.
• Be adept at using Git version control confidently.
• Fluency in both German and English is essential due to the international team setting.
• Experience with virtual collaboration tools like Microsoft Teams across different locations is a plus.
