Role Overview
As a Senior Software Engineer focused on Golang, you will collaborate with your team to design, develop, and deploy server-side applications and services that are secure, scalable, and dependable.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain microservices utilizing Golang, emphasizing performance, observability, and long-term maintainability.
- Ensure comprehensive test coverage, including both unit and integration tests.
- Engage actively in task prioritization within your team.
- Provide mentorship to colleagues and foster an environment of shared ownership and psychological safety.
- Adopt a product engineer mindset: represent the customer's perspective in technical discussions, comprehend platform usage and challenges, and identify value opportunities.
- Collaborate with product managers and engineers to understand the wider organizational impact of platform decisions.
- Create documentation, runbooks, and internal guides to make the platform accessible and self-service for dependent teams.
Required Qualifications
- At least five years of professional experience in software development.
- Proficient expertise in Golang programming language and its ecosystem, including a strong grasp of core concepts and standard libraries.
- Deep understanding of server-side development principles, design patterns, and best practices.
- Practical experience with DevOps practices, Kubernetes, AWS cloud services, Docker containerization, and database technologies such as PostgreSQL or Cassandra.
- Proven ability to learn new technologies swiftly and solve complex problems.
- Capable of leveraging colleagues’ expertise for personal development and knowing when to seek help.
- Experience utilizing Large Language Models (LLM) for coding purposes.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
