Team Overview
The Content Systems Engineering team designs and manages applications critical to the full media content supply chain at Warner Bros. Discovery, supporting thousands of users globally who depend on our tools daily to produce and distribute television content on platforms like Discovery+.
Role Summary
We are seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join our Bangalore office team. This role involves designing and building enterprise-level full stack solutions working mainly with Java Spring Boot backend services and Angular front-end. You will be transitioning legacy monolithic applications to modern micro-front-end architectures with reusable components and micro-apps. Collaboration with full stack and specialized front-end/backend engineers will be essential.
Responsibilities
- Develop application service layers and user interfaces supporting the content supply chain operations.
- Create comprehensive system designs and architecture diagrams illustrating implementation needs and strategies.
- Effectively communicate and justify design and code decisions; receive and integrate constructive feedback aligned with team and company standards.
- Proactively propose improvements to best practices, documentation, design, and architecture; provide valuable feedback to peers during code reviews.
- Identify and resolve production issues through detailed analysis of source code, logs, performance metrics, and stack traces.
Required Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years’ experience as a full stack software developer.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven architectures or asynchronous messaging systems.
- Proficiency in developing Single Page Applications utilizing modern UI frameworks.
- Strong expertise in Java Spring Boot and Angular (version 8 or later).
- Experience with AWS cloud technologies.
- Working knowledge of MongoDB and PostgreSQL databases.
- Experience with AI tools integration.
- Familiarity with SAFe Agile methodologies and collaborative software development environments.
- Proven history designing and building media workflow applications, media catalogs, and asset registry systems.
- Excellent communication skills with ability to document and engage effectively with stakeholders and team members.
- Dedication to building straightforward, maintainable solutions utilizing best engineering practices.
