The Avigilon Alta Video User Interface team manages critical infrastructure underpinning their Video Management Software (VMS). They are enhancing their platform to interconnect deeply within Motorola's product ecosystem, emphasizing high-performance engineering and architectural soundness to deliver reliable real-time tools.

Work Environment

Located in central Edinburgh, the team supports a hybrid working style targeting two office days per week alongside remote work.

Role Responsibilities

• Design, develop, analyze, and maintain software products and systems for the organization.
• Integrate software with hardware to ensure consistent throughput and program operation.
• Create, test, and validate software, including structural and user documentation.
• Architect and implement advanced state management and robust API integration for scalable systems.
• Enhance delivery through participation in CI/CD pipeline improvements and use Firebase services for efficient feature rollout.

Essential Qualifications

• Strong background in software engineering with a focus on modern frontend architectures.
• Proven expertise handling complex application states and data flows using tools like Pinia, Vuex, or Redux.
• In-depth knowledge of consuming RESTful APIs and practical experience working with Firebase and CI/CD processes.
• Advanced skills in TypeScript as well as modern HTML and CSS.
• Solid understanding of design patterns and capacity to influence architectural decisions on extensive codebases.
• Collaborative mindset with ability to mentor peers effectively.
