About the Opportunity
An exceptional role is open for a seasoned Senior Software Engineer to become part of a high-performing tech team delivering key projects within a prominent global financial services company. You will contribute to substantial, critical enterprise platforms used by internal teams and external clients worldwide.
Engage with intricate, high-throughput systems while collaborating with skilled engineers across multiple countries.
Key Responsibilities
- Architect and develop large-scale Java applications and RESTful APIs.
- Create secure, scalable, and efficient microservices.
- Participate in architectural and technical design discussions.
- Operate throughout the full software development lifecycle utilizing Agile frameworks.
- Support continuous integration and continuous delivery practices alongside DevOps efforts in cloud environments.
- Work closely with Product Owners, Architects, QA, and fellow engineers to ensure quality delivery.
- Maintain software excellence through automation, thorough code reviews, and adherence to engineering best practices.
- Guide junior developers and offer technical leadership within the team.
- Spot opportunities to improve procedures and technology platforms.

Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum 8 years of experience with enterprise-level Java development.
- Proficient knowledge with Spring Framework, especially Spring Boot.
- Experience designing and implementing RESTful services and distributed systems.
- Strong experience with Oracle databases including PL/SQL and complex query optimization.
- Competent in microservices architecture.
- Deep understanding of software design patterns and best coding practices.
- Familiar with Agile project delivery methodologies.
- Excellent communication skills and capability to interact with stakeholders.
- Proven ability to collaborate within globally dispersed teams.
Preferred Additional Experience:
- Background in Financial Services, Investment Management, Capital Markets, or FinTech sectors.
- Knowledge of Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Familiarity with AWS cloud platforms.
- Experience with event-driven architectures and enterprise-grade messaging systems.
- Prior involvement in project leadership or mentoring engineering teams.
