Role Overview
As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will be instrumental in designing and delivering new capabilities for Jitterbit's iPaaS and API Management platform. You will work with a diverse, modern technology stack and take accountability from conceptual design to production deployment, ensuring system scalability, reliability, and high performance in a 24/7 operational setting.
Key Responsibilities and Environment
- Collaborate with engineers, product teams, and operations to innovate enterprise integration solutions.
- Develop and maintain backend services using Java, C++, and Lua.
- Manage infrastructure and deployment using Docker, Kubernetes, Linux, Nginx, Tomcat, and Apache.
- Work with data storage and messaging platforms including MySQL, SQL Server, Redis, Kafka, Elasticsearch, and InfluxDB.
- Utilize AWS cloud services such as S3, CloudFront, and DynamoDB.
- Ensure the robustness and scalability of multi-tenant SaaS applications.
Candidate Profile
- Professional with over 10 years of experience building scalable distributed applications.
- Experienced in multi-tenant SaaS architecture, microservices, and cloud-based design patterns.
- Adept at problem solving, debugging, and detailed analytical thinking.
- Strong communicator comfortable working in distributed teams with remote collaboration.
- Self-motivated and capable of leading key initiatives independently.
- Mentor and support peers, fostering a best-idea culture regardless of origin.
- Data-driven and enjoys making impactful decisions.
Technical Skills
- Proficient in Java programming with extensive experience.
- Strong knowledge of relational databases like SQL Server and MySQL.
- Experienced in JavaScript, TypeScript, and Node.js development.
- Familiarity with frontend standards such as CSS and HTML.
- Experienced with container deployment technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Hands-on with AWS services including DynamoDB, S3, and CloudFront.
