Senior Software Developer - Vehicle Applications Software

Role Summary

We are looking for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer to enhance and optimize our core in-vehicle software platform, specifically for the Sonatus Fastlane Collector and Copilot products. This position involves developing next-generation vehicle applications, middleware, and platform services compatible with automotive-grade High-Performance Compute (HPC) environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and optimize high-performance in-vehicle applications and connectivity middleware to ensure minimal latency and efficient data throughput between vehicles and cloud services.
• Design and support platform services responsible for managing system resources, performing health monitoring, and overseeing software lifecycle management.
• Diagnose and resolve issues emerging during development, testing, and production stages.
• Create detailed unit and integration tests; participate in code reviews to uphold code quality standards.
• Follow established development procedures and produce clear design documentation to support design reviews and share knowledge across teams.

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum five years of professional experience in software development.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, or closely related disciplines.
• Advanced expertise in modern C++ (C++14/17), particularly with RAII principles, smart pointers, multithreading, inter-process communication, and effective memory management in embedded environments.
• Practical experience with Embedded Linux including development, cross-compilation, testing, and debugging. Knowledge of Android, QNX, or POSIX-compatible operating systems is advantageous.
• Proficient in authoring automated unit and integration tests using modern C++ testing tools and Python scripting.
• Familiarity with contemporary transport protocols such as HTTP and MQTT, alongside serialization formats including Protobuf, FlatBuffers, and JSON.
• Experience or exposure to vehicle network standards (CAN, Ethernet, SOME/IP, UDS) or automotive software standards like Adaptive AUTOSAR is beneficial.
• Knowledge of Rust programming language is a plus.
