Role Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Python Engineer proficient in FastAPI and microservices architecture to enhance our technical team. This role demands strong leadership capabilities, a solid software engineering background, and expertise in crafting scalable, secure, and reliable applications.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the architecture, development, and deployment of microservice-based applications.
• Build and maintain backend services using FastAPI ensuring high scalability and performance.
• Apply best practices in logging, monitoring, health checks, scalability, resilience, service discovery, API gateways, and error management.
• Maintain code quality standards, security protocols, and optimize application performance.
• Utilize containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for deployment.
• Collaborate across teams to conceptualize, design, and roll out new features.
• Develop and operate CI/CD pipelines for smooth release cycles.
• Adhere to best API design principles, development, and security standards.
• Set up and manage monitoring and logging infrastructure (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Follow version control policies using Git and maintain collaborative workflows.

Qualifications

• Proven expertise in leading tech teams with hands-on experience in microservices application development.
• Advanced proficiency in Python programming and FastAPI framework.
• In-depth knowledge of Pydantic for data validation within FastAPI projects.
• Experience with container orchestration technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
• Familiar with CI/CD automation pipelines and related tooling.
• Solid understanding of API design and implementation best practices.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring and logging solutions such as Prometheus and Grafana.
• Comprehensive knowledge of security considerations in microservices environments.

Additional Skills (Preferred)

• Experience working with Retriever models including chunking techniques.
• Knowledge of vector databases and their applications.
• Understanding effective querying methods for Large Language Models (LLM) through APIs.
• Skills in prompt engineering and strategies to optimize interactions with LLMs.
• Familiarity with diverse prompt engineering methodologies across various scenarios.
