Job Responsibilities

• Develop pricing optimization models using a combination of statistical and machine learning methods to support strategic decision-making.
• Evaluate pricing elasticity to forecast consumer reactions to price changes, helping clients enhance revenue and expand market presence.
• Deploy and manage machine learning models on AWS SageMaker to ensure scalable and efficient cloud performance.
• Apply Bayesian modeling techniques to aid decision-making by quantifying uncertainty and interpreting predictions.
• Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to embed data-driven insights into business operations.
• Present complex analytical results effectively to both technical peers and non-technical stakeholders.
• Innovate by researching and testing new modeling strategies and tools to boost the accuracy and efficiency of pricing solutions.

Required Qualifications

• 4-6 years of professional experience in data science, specializing in pricing optimization and elasticity modeling.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Economics, or related fields; advanced degrees are advantageous.
• Proficient in Bayesian modeling and machine learning techniques.
• Experience developing, deploying, and monitoring models using AWS SageMaker.
• Programming expertise in Python (preferred) or R.
• Familiarity with statistical libraries and tools such as NumPy, Pandas, and PyMC3.
• Knowledge of cloud platforms, primarily AWS, with AWS Certified Data Analytics – Specialty certification considered a plus.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex ideas to varied audiences.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in methodologies like A/B testing, econometrics, or statistical experimentation.
• Exposure to other cloud environments such as Azure or Google Cloud Platform.
• Track record of working collaboratively in cross-functional teams and client interactions.
