Role Overview
The Senior Software Developer will be responsible for designing and delivering innovative software solutions to support evolving ETS services. This role encompasses the full software development life cycle, including concept, design, programming, testing, documentation, and deployment. Collaboration with multiple teams and stakeholders is essential to create dependable systems and enhance existing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Define the scope and objectives for assigned software projects.
- Develop software solutions to meet new functional and service requirements.
- Create detailed specifications, write code, and conduct unit and system testing.
- Analyze and modify procedures to resolve moderately complex issues related to system capabilities and performance.
- Coordinate and support software production schedules.
- Collaborate internally to ensure smooth delivery and maintenance of services and application updates.
- Assist in planning and training for internal clients on new applications and processes.
- Provide peer leadership and work closely with leads and development staff.
- Perform project tracking and software code reviews to maintain quality standards.
- Implement new technologies alongside the development team.
- Independently develop, test, debug, and code software solutions.
- Recommend improvements to existing processes and suggest new procedures to address complex problems.
- Work across units to identify opportunities for process and technical enhancements.
- Proactively identify and escalate gaps or issues involving multiple areas.
- Maintain and update documentation and specifications for design, development, and testing phases.
- Escalate complex technical problems through appropriate channels.
- Promote quality standards and industry best practices within the team.
- Adhere to ethical standards and legal requirements related to the role.
Qualifications and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field with additional coursework in management or information processing.
- A relevant combination of education and experience is considered.
- At least 7 years of progressively responsible experience in software development.
