Role Overview
We seek an experienced Senior Site Reliability Engineer to join our Bangalore team to bolster our Ad Technology engineering efforts by ensuring product reliability, scalability, and availability. This fast-paced position directly influences daily operations and strategic planning, collaborating closely with engineers across infrastructure layers.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop automated software systems managing platform infrastructure and applications.
- Deliver engineering and operational support for multiple large-scale distributed applications.
- Collaborate with stakeholders and developers to plan infrastructure deployment effectively.
- Deploy and maintain alerting and monitoring tools to support development and incident management.
- Drive automation efforts to enhance development and deployment workflows.
- Analyze metrics from operating systems and applications to optimize performance and troubleshoot issues.
- Participate in on-call rotations ensuring timely responses to incidents and outages.
- Create sustainable automated systems and services improving reliability and scalability.
- Balance rapid feature deployment with system stability by defining clear service-level objectives.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Contribute to infrastructure project planning and decision-making processes.
Required Qualifications
- At least 7 years of professional experience as a Site Reliability Engineer or in a similar capacity.
- Proven ability to work closely with development teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Hands-on expertise with Kubernetes, Docker or comparable container technologies.
- Experience operating within cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Skilled in designing and implementing monitoring and alerting solutions.
- Proficiency with automated release management systems.
- Background in building and supporting backend infrastructure and systems.
- Experience developing CI/CD workflows using CircleCI, GitHub Actions, or similar tools.
Preferred Skills
- Familiarity with programming languages Python and Go.
- Exposure to distributed database technologies.
- Knowledge of Kafka streaming platform.
- Competence in Linux system administration.
- Experience in cost optimization strategies.
- Understanding of AI agent workflows.
- Awareness of security best practices.
- Insight into Ad Technology domain including impression tracking, VAST/VMAP, Ad Servers, SSP, DSP, etc.
- Strong commitment to Infrastructure as Code principles.
