Senior Security Consultant

Overview

The Senior Security Consultant serves as a trusted advisor to clients, assisting them in navigating the complexities of cyber risk management and assurance. This role involves identifying organizational security gaps, crafting strategies, and establishing governance to ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough cyber risk assessments to detect vulnerabilities and potential threats, developing customized mitigation strategies tailored to each client's needs.
• Lead security assurance engagements guaranteeing clients adhere to industry standards and regulatory mandates such as ISO 27001 and CPS234, by guiding the implementation of security policies and controls.
• Act as the main liaison for clients, providing expert advice on cybersecurity best practices, emergent threats, and risk management paradigms, fostering strong ongoing client relationships.
• Support organizations in creating and implementing security control frameworks and Information Security Management Systems (ISMS) aligned with business goals, compliance requirements, and industry standards through policy development, risk and criticality assessments, governance documents, and reporting structures.
• Assist companies in understanding and managing supply chain risks by developing relevant controls, policies, and ongoing assessment procedures.
• Maintain awareness of cybersecurity legal and regulatory updates, ensuring clients remain informed and compliant with evolving requirements.
• Adhere strictly to company policies, especially those related to information security and cybersecurity.

Qualifications & Clearance

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related discipline.
• Highly desirable certifications include CISSP, CISM, and CISA.
• A minimum of five years' experience in cybersecurity focusing on risk management, security assurance, and client advisory roles.
• Solid knowledge of cybersecurity frameworks, threat modeling, vulnerability assessment, and security architecture; familiarity with cloud security, network security, and incident response tools is expected.
• Combines technical expertise, strategic insight, and strong communication skills to effectively manage client relationships and deliver impactful solutions.
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving capabilities with the ability to convey complex technical details clearly to non-technical audiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic consulting environment, managing several clients, projects, and priorities concurrently.
• Experience in leading and mentoring junior team members.
• Excellent time management skills to handle multiple engagements simultaneously.
