Senior Security Consultant (f/m/x)

Overview

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Security Consultant to guide our entry into the Chinese market as a provider of cloud-based solutions and software products. This remote role involves steering the organization through the complexities of China's regulatory and business environment, ensuring all operations comply with cybersecurity, data privacy, and cloud service regulations locally.

Key Responsibilities

• Evaluate China-specific regulations relating to cybersecurity, data privacy, and compliance necessary for digital product and cloud service operations.
• Provide advice on optimal operating frameworks, hosting choices, and cloud architecture tailored for the Chinese market.
• Formulate security and compliance requirements aligned with global corporate governance and standards.
• Identify and assess risks, regulatory limitations, and market entry challenges; devise appropriate mitigations.
• Coordinate and align stakeholders from business, legal, compliance, privacy, security, and technology departments.
• Deliver actionable roadmaps and recommendations for effective and compliant market entry in China.
• Lead organization-wide discussions and offer strategic guidance to varied teams.
• Oversee the full market entry lifecycle, including establishing legal entities and fulfilling regulatory mandates.

Candidate Requirements

• At least 10 years of professional experience in cybersecurity and compliance roles.
• Extensive knowledge of cybersecurity and compliance regulations, specifically for cloud services.
• In-depth understanding of Chinese regulatory frameworks, including data residency and privacy legislation.
• Practical experience with cloud infrastructure, especially Azure China.
• Demonstrated skill in integrating legal, compliance, privacy, security, and technical aspects for strategic market entries.
• Proficiency in English at an advanced level.

• Understanding of digital service delivery and application hosting paradigms.
