We are seeking a Senior Sales Engineer fluent in German to join our Enterprise sales team remotely from Ireland. You will be instrumental in translating complex technical needs of enterprise clients into effective data replication solutions by Fivetran.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate directly with enterprise customers to analyze their business use cases and data replication needs.
• Create and present technical demonstrations tailored to enterprise audiences.
• Drive structured proof-of-value processes to ensure technical alignment and success in sales cycles.
• Partner with various cross-functional teams to contribute to product and process improvements.
• Work in close coordination with the sales representatives, maintaining a strong focus on client satisfaction and technical quality.
• Continuously keep abreast of industry technologies and trends.
• Support colleagues in overcoming advanced technical or commercial challenges.

Required Qualifications and Skills

• Fluency in German at native or professional level.
• Over five years of experience in data replication, sales engineering, or related technical roles.
• Robust technical expertise in database replication, cloud infrastructure, and data replication technologies, including hands-on experience.
• Familiarity with modern data analytics ecosystems such as cloud data warehouses, data transformation tools, catalogs, and BI solutions.
• Proficient communication and presentation abilities for explaining intricate technical concepts to diverse audiences.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving competencies.
• Practical experience with Oracle, SQL Server, Postgres, MySQL, and NoSQL database technologies.
• Exposure to additional data replication or ETL tools is advantageous.
• Experience supporting self-hosted software applications and their infrastructures.
• Hands-on networking experience with both cloud and on-premises environments.

Additional Preferred Skills

• Expertise in building and managing partner relationships.
• Specialized knowledge in security postures.
• Experience with both self-hosted and SaaS software deployments.
• Hands-on experience using DBT.
• Proficiency with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes.
