Situated at the crossroads of business interests and public trust, CPA Ontario addresses evolving industry demands and professional standards in a changing landscape influenced by technology and modern work dynamics.

Role Overview

The Recruitment team is central to the organization's success, collaborating across departments to provide expert guidance on hiring processes, including job descriptions, recruitment strategies, and offer management, before transitioning candidates to HR Operations for onboarding. The team emphasizes ease of experience for hiring managers and candidates alike.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment for a variety of specialized and key business roles, ranging from individual contributors to Director level. Collaborate closely with hiring managers to devise effective hiring strategies and oversee sourcing, candidate evaluation, interviewing, offer extension, pre-employment checks, and onboarding coordination.
  • Develop talent pipelines by leveraging diverse sourcing methods and cultivating ongoing relationships with candidates, particularly for challenging or niche roles.
  • Serve as a strategic advisor to hiring managers, shaping successful talent acquisition approaches.
  • Partner with Recruitment, HR, and Marketing teams to enhance and promote the employer brand and value proposition; may represent CPA Ontario at external events such as career fairs and conferences.
  • Monitor recruitment metrics and produce analytical reports to inform and optimize hiring practices.
  • Contribute to team projects aimed at elevating recruitment processes.

Applicant Requirements

  • Minimum five years of full-cycle recruitment experience in a corporate setting, or a combination including at least two years in corporate and agency recruitment.
  • Proficient in sourcing difficult-to-find candidates using current tools and technologies.
  • Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems for recruitment management.
  • Demonstrated commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion within recruitment processes.
  • Experience in generating and utilizing recruitment data and metrics for decision-making.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication, presentation, interpersonal, relationship-building, and influencing capabilities.
  • Track record of stakeholder management with the ability to quickly build rapport and offer consultative services across organizational levels.
  • Strong organizational skills to juggle multiple projects effectively.
  • Close attention to detail accompanied by sound judgement.
  • A proactive, results-driven approach with the flexibility to operate within and adapt to ambiguous situations.

Compensation and Benefits

  • The anticipated starting salary ranges from $82,900 to $103,700 annually, commensurate with qualifications, experience, and internal equity considerations. Exceptions may be subject to review.
  • Comprehensive support for employee well-being including competitive benefits, mental health resources, savings programs, and a sustainable work approach.
  • Commitment to inclusion as a fundamental operational principle.
  • A hybrid work model requiring three days onsite per week complemented by two days remote, with a one-time home office allowance at onboarding.
  • Investment in career growth through professional development, challenging projects, secondments, and advancement pathways.
  • A dynamic and meaningful work environment that values teamwork and shared goals.
