Senior Quantity Surveyor

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor based in Wellington to join a skilled team focused on civil infrastructure projects. This role requires managing the commercial aspects of multiple projects from procurement through to final accounts.

Key Responsibilities

• Oversee quantity surveying activities for various civil infrastructure projects throughout all phases.
• Handle project budgets including forecasting, cost management, and financial reporting.
• Administer subcontractor agreements effectively.
• Manage contractual variations, claims, and lead commercial negotiations.
• Proactively identify and mitigate commercial risks to enhance project outcomes.
• Cultivate strong, collaborative relationships with long-term project partners.

Essential Skills and Experience

• Possess a tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying or a related field.
• Substantial experience working on civil infrastructure projects within New Zealand or Australia.
• Proven capability to independently handle large and complex projects.
• Expertise in contract administration, claims management, and evaluating commercial risks.
• Excellent communication abilities and effective stakeholder relationship management.
• Must have legal right to work in New Zealand.
