About the Company and Position
V2 Retail Ltd is seeking a seasoned Senior Python Engineer with over six years of experience to join their expanding technology team based in Gurugram, Haryana. This is a full-time onsite role where the successful candidate will have the opportunity to participate in a walk-in interview process.
Key Responsibilities
The selected candidate will be responsible for managing essential backend systems throughout their lifecycle. This includes designing production-grade systems that are scalable and reliable, leading technical debates and making architectural choices, enhancing system performance and reliability, and mentoring junior engineers while promoting engineering best practices.
Required Technical Expertise
- Proficient in Python 3.x and familiar with frameworks like FastAPI, Django, or Flask.
- Experience developing RESTful and GraphQL APIs.
- Strong skills in PostgreSQL and MySQL, including SQL query optimization.
- Hands-on with ORM tools such as SQLAlchemy and Django ORM.
- Knowledge in caching solutions like Redis, messaging systems like Kafka or RabbitMQ, and task queues such as Celery.
- Competent with containerization and orchestration tools including Docker and Kubernetes.
- Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure.
- Understanding of CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
- Experience with testing frameworks like Pytest, usage of type hints, and maintaining code quality.
- Skills in monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and Sentry.
- Strong grasp of system design principles, scalability challenges, and performance tuning.
