Senior Project Manager / Project Director – Supervision

About the Role

Join WSP in Riyadh as a Senior Project Manager / Project Director specializing in supervision to spearhead major Property & Buildings supervision projects throughout Saudi Arabia. This role demands an expert in project leadership, client engagement, operational oversight, and financial management, ensuring successful and high-quality project deliveries aligned with WSP standards and client goals.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead projects from initial mobilisation through to final completion, ensuring safety, timely delivery, cost control, and quality adherence.
• Oversee multidisciplinary supervision teams, coordinating with clients, contractors, consultants, authorities, and stakeholders for seamless project execution.
• Develop, execute, and maintain project plans, resource allocation, and risk monitoring including key performance metrics.
• Conduct project review sessions, resolve delivery challenges proactively, and manage project close-out processes with lessons learned.
• Maintain robust client relationships as the primary point of contact, managing expectations and fostering repeat business opportunities.
• Direct supervision operations including workforce deployment, coordination of engineering and specialist teams, and implementation of consistent project controls and reporting practices.
• Manage project financial aspects such as budgeting, forecasting, commercial risk mitigation, contract compliance, and claims support.
• Contribute to bid and business development by assisting proposal preparation, client presentations, opportunity identification, and pipeline growth within the Kingdom.
• Ensure governance compliance, maintain risk registers, enforce quality assurance, and promote best practice sharing across projects.
• Champion health, safety, and environmental standards cultivating a proactive safety culture within project teams.
• Lead and mentor project personnel, supporting performance and professional development, while embodying WSP’s values and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a closely related field; Master’s degree preferred.
• Professional project management certification such as PMP is desirable.
• Professional registrations like PE or CEng are advantages.
• Extensive experience exceeding 20 years in project management and construction supervision, specifically with large-scale building projects in Saudi Arabia or the Middle East.
• Demonstrated capability managing multidisciplinary teams and substantial client contracts.
• Broad knowledge of project governance, contract administration, and commercial management is essential.
