Senior Project Manager - Hotels

About the Role

Join Parsons in delivering one of Saudi Arabia's most prominent giga-projects that aims to set new global standards in destination development and hospitality innovation. As Senior Project Manager for Hotels within Sub-district East, you'll lead the end-to-end delivery of major hotel assets, ensuring alignment with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 through strategic planning, design oversight, procurement, construction, and commissioning. This role requires close collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and external partners to deliver world-class hotel projects on time, within budget, and meeting rigorous safety, quality, and guest experience standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Champion a robust health, safety, and wellbeing culture across hotel projects, including empowering teams with 'Stop Work' authority to halt work when safety is compromised.
• Exhibit leadership aligned with client values by setting clear goals, managing performance, and fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment.
• Define strategic execution plans for hotel projects, integrating phases such as design, procurement, construction, testing, and commissioning, while ensuring alignment with district and city development plans.
• Oversee resource allocation, scheduling, budgeting, and quality control, maintaining rigorous financial controls and meeting client and industry benchmarks.
• Manage risk proactively, provide regular status reports to senior leadership, and facilitate design reviews to ensure compliance with specifications and brand standards.
• Coordinate with commercial and procurement teams on tender reviews, contract negotiations, and sourcing strategies specific to hotel packages like FF&E and OS&E.
• Facilitate strong stakeholder collaboration both internally and externally, managing project interfaces with infrastructure, attractions, and public realm developments.
• Drive continuous improvement by implementing best practices, capturing lessons learned, and leading key project activities such as value engineering, design reviews, site inspections, and training.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related discipline is required; a Master’s degree is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as PMP, PRINCE2, or Agile are advantageous; additional certifications in construction, hospitality development, or contract management add value.
• Approximately 15 years’ experience managing complex hotel or hospitality projects, preferably involving multiple simultaneous developments and large-scale design and construction programs.
• Demonstrated leadership and stakeholder management skills, with experience collaborating across departments and working with international hotel brands on design and operational standards.
• Comprehensive knowledge of construction, safety, regulatory compliance, and hospitality industry standards, including building codes, fire and life safety, accessibility, sustainability, and brand requirements.
