Senior Project Manager

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager to join our PMO team in Dublin. The position features a hybrid work model, allowing the selected candidate to work remotely, onsite with the client, and from our Codec office. This role involves close collaboration with our internal team and clients to ensure successful delivery of large and complex projects.

Key Responsibilities

• Take full accountability for delivering multiple complex projects or large-scale initiatives successfully.
• Ensure that delivery obligations, commercial targets, and customer expectations are consistently met.
• Lead corrective and recovery actions on underperforming projects, driving resolutions effectively.
• Manage program-level or multiple interrelated projects, overseeing dependencies and impacts across projects.
• Provide leadership and direction to project managers and delivery teams for smooth execution of delivery plans.
• Serve as a senior escalation contact for critical delivery issues and risks.
• Establish and nurture trusted relationships with senior customer stakeholders to fully understand their business goals and priorities.
• Support strategic client conversations about delivery outcomes and future planning while professionally representing the company.
• Oversee project financials including budgets, forecasts, and profitability to maintain alignment with contractual commitments.
• Handle complex change requests and their commercial impacts efficiently.
• Apply consistent governance standards, monitor risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies (RAID management), and ensure transparent reporting of project performance.
• Mentor and develop project managers, champion best practices, and encourage a culture of accountability and continuous improvement across the delivery organization.
• Assist portfolio managers in steering strategic delivery initiatives.

Qualifications and Experience

• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a comparable project management role.
• Certified in project management methodologies such as PRINCE2 Practitioner or PMP.
• Proven background working in large enterprise settings with a focus on business application projects, preferably in the IT sector.
• Experience with ERP solutions, particularly Microsoft Business Central, and CRM/workflow systems such as Microsoft Dynamics, is highly advantageous but not mandatory.
• Successful track record of delivering projects within agreed scope, budget, and timelines.
• Competent in managing cross-functional teams.
• Experienced in using Microsoft Project.
• Familiar with Agile, Waterfall, and Hybrid project management approaches.
• Exposure to Projector or other professional services automation software is preferred, yet optional.
