Role Overview

The Senior Product Security Engineer will spearhead the architecture and deployment of robust, scalable security solutions across AlphaSense's AI-centric platform. The position demands collaboration with architects, engineering, and product teams to embed security principles seamlessly throughout the software development lifecycle, focusing on AI/ML security, threat mitigation, and customer assurance.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect and implement security controls tailored for AI/ML components such as model training, pipelines, and inference mechanisms.
• Detect and counter specific AI threats including prompt injections, data poisoning, model inversion, and theft.
• Ensure model provenance, integrity, and compliance through auditability controls.
• Coordinate AI security practices with governance frameworks like NIST AI RMF and the EU AI Act.
• Integrate security, privacy, and compliance systematically in the development lifecycle.
• Define secure coding standards and best development practices.
• Lead threat modeling, secure design assessments, and risk evaluations within development cycles.
• Create and maintain automation and governance tools to support security integration in workflows.
• Generate customer-facing security documentation and represent product security in stakeholder interactions to facilitate enterprise agreements.
• Mentor teams on security coding, AI risks, and secure architectural designs.
• Advocate a culture prioritizing security through training, documentation, and awareness initiatives.

Required Qualifications

• 5 to 7+ years of experience in product, application, or cloud security engineering roles.
• Strong expertise in secure software development lifecycle, threat modeling, and architectural security design.
• Ability to analyze and critique code to inform threat assessments and design reviews.
• Experience securing AI/ML workflows, data processes, and infrastructure with expertise in AI-specific vulnerabilities.
• Solid understanding of cloud security across diverse multi-cloud environments.
• Knowledge of DevSecOps and continuous integration/deployment systems.
• Familiarity with cryptographic principles including symmetric/asymmetric encryption, TLS/mTLS, and key/secret management.
• Proficient understanding of authentication and authorization mechanisms such as OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, RBAC, and ABAC.
• Demonstrated success in leading cross-team security strategies and embedding security in organizational roadmaps.

Preferred Skills

• Programming skills in Python, Java, or JavaScript for security automation and tooling enhancements.
• Experience securing containerized environments and Kubernetes runtime protection.
• Knowledge of software supply chain security and artifact integrity verification.
• Exposure to bug bounty programs including triage and root cause resolution.
• Familiar with compliance standards such as SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST 800-53, and NIST AI RMF.
• Certifications like CKS, CISSP, CSSLP, or specialized AI/ML security credentials.

Compensation & Equal Opportunity

The base salary range for this role is €103,000 to €141,000 EUR. Final offers are determined by candidate expertise and local market factors. Performance bonuses and equity may also be offered.
