Overview

Join Lightspeed Commerce as a Senior Product Manager based in Newmarket, Auckland, where you'll lead strategy and roadmap development for key retail product areas. You'll partner closely with retailers to uncover their needs and identify growth opportunities, leveraging data and commercial insights to guide impactful product decisions. Your role involves collaborating with engineering and design teams to clarify project goals and priorities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain a multi-quarter strategic roadmap targeting significant product challenges and scalable opportunities through direct customer engagement.
  • Provide context and autonomy to your team by aligning customer demands, business constraints, and commercial elements to deliver impactful solutions.
  • Build consensus among stakeholders and executives using data-driven insights and clear communication on priorities and trade-offs.
  • Support and mentor fellow Product Managers, contributing to overall team development and organizational improvements.
  • Advocate for retailer perspectives across Lightspeed to deepen company-wide customer empathy.

Candidate Profile

  • Experience in independently owning complex technology products, including strategy formulation and long-term planning.
  • Proven ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and leadership, ensuring team focus on key issues.
  • Capability to balance customer needs, commercial objectives, and technical constraints while making informed decisions under ambiguity.
  • Excellent problem-solving aptitude and strong communication skills, adept at delivering well-structured, data-informed recommendations both verbally and in writing.
