Job description
About Mercury and the Users Team
Mercury is a fintech company focused on providing a comprehensive financial platform for ambitious building class businesses—from side projects to scaling unicorns. We deliver an elegant, intelligent financial stack designed to scale from day one. The Users team is responsible for managing roles, permissions, invitations, and the authorization system that supports all other product teams. Whether it's a solo founder collaborating with agents or a large enterprise managing employee spending without revealing banking details, our mission is to maintain simplicity while supporting growing complexity.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the experience of collaboration within Mercury, focusing on how founders add employees, finance teams, or accountants by defining roles, permissions, and user experiences that facilitate productivity.
- Improve the ease and trustworthiness of onboarding entire teams by understanding and resolving any hesitation related to invitations.
- Expand this collaboration experience across multiple communication channels such as email, Slack, and iMessage.
- Work closely with large customers to comprehend their methods of managing employee spending and financial operations, building features that empower their growth.
- Guide the evolution of the Users space as product demands grow and diversify, including support for agent-based interactions.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- At least seven years of product management experience, ideally with collaboration products or platforms centered on identity, roles, and authorization.
- Strong judgment to balance product simplicity with platform power, preventing permission complexity from becoming a deterrent.
- Influential presence in product teams, ensuring early involvement to promote collaborative solutions that remove customer collaboration barriers.
- Well-formed perspectives on agentic actions and their unique challenges when the actor is not a person.
- Proven ability to clarify ambiguous challenges independently and bring projects end-to-end, including research, design, engineering, go-to-market strategies, and stakeholder coordination.
Diversity and Inclusion
Mercury embraces diversity and inclusion, considering all candidates without discrimination based on legally protected characteristics. We provide reasonable accommodations during the hiring process for applicants with disabilities or special needs upon request.
Total Rewards Package
The compensation package comprises base salary, equity (stock options/RSUs), and benefits. Our salary ranges are competitive in SaaS and fintech industries and adjusted based on experience, skills, geography, and internal equity.
Salary Range for Canadian Employees
CAD $189,700 to $237,100 per year.
